Combat System???

What is my favorite Combat System? Role Play!!! For many reasons: low lag, makes it so it is not just point and click, uses your mind and allows you to fight true to your character (awesome flips, clashing sabers with cold stares, talking smack as you fight, etc).

Yes, combat systems have their place. They can mix things up and are fun in big group fights. But one on one? Role Play wins every time. You get to have nice long, fun fights with no lag! A few simple hints:

1) Stay true to your character. If you are a Padawan, and go up against a Sith Lord or a Mandalorian with experience....chances are you will lose the fight. Win/Lose....it is all in good fun.

2) If characters of equal abilities/experience go against each other, you will have a nice long RP fight. If you cannot decide who will lose or win, use some form of RP dice to help.

3) Give the other person a chance to counter your attack.

4) Force Users...yes, you can block blaster fire. We have all seen it in the movies. But if a group of gunners are firing at you at the same time...you are most likely toast.

5) Gunners...sure, a group of you can be most effective. However, you go one on one against a strong Force User...chances are you will be toast.

6) Have fun! Be imaginative!
